Pharmaceuticals in Wastewaters and Surface Waters Under Multistressors Situation: Fate, Adverse Effects, Risks and Removal Technologies

The three EU projects funded under the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme, Globaqua, Cytothreat & Endetech, together with SCARCE from the Consolider Programme (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness), organised a workshop in which pharmaceuticals were regarded from a multidisciplinary perspective. During talks, posters and discussions, experts from different fields had the opportunity for exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences from their respective fields. Marta Hernandez (cetaqua) presented a poster on WA1 results on Managed Aquifer Recharge. 

Immersion Strategy and Applied Innovation

The Catalan Water Partnership aims to enhance the strategical reflexion with all stakeholders in the water sector in Catalunya and wants to foster the further internationalisation and innovation of the sector. DEMEAU will be presented by Ester Vilanova who will talk about the results that have been achieved and that are yet to come.

Final Consortium Meeting With Demonstrating Large-Scale Ozonation

DEMEAU held the first in its three part series of final events in Zurich, Switzerland on June 17-18, 2015. Hosted on the premises of Eawag just outside of Zurich in Dübendorf, attendees engaged in collaborative knowledge exchange and discussions on the final research results, conclusions and contributions of the project. The two day event brought together the expertise of the whole project consortium, where the work areas presented the final results of their work within the project.

European Water Policy: Challenges for Hydrogeologists

The DEMEAU WA1 project partners AMPHOS21 and Kompetenzzentrum Wasser Berlin were requested to present their work at the Hydrogeology workshop organized by the European Federation of Geologists (EFG) in Brussels. The aim of the workshop was to highlight those areas where hydrogeologists are playing an important role in the implementation of the European water policy

ISMAR8: Managed Aquifer Recharge: Meeting the Water Resource Challenge

First results from the Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) catalogue were presented during the 8th International Symposium on Managed Aquifer Recharge (ISMAR8) in Beijing (China) to the scientific community. Although other databases on MAR sites exist, the catalogue developed in the FP7 project DEMEAU holds the most updated and comprehensive information on European MAR sites up to now.
