Within the project meetings, the DEMEAU consortium comes together to work on the project's progress. Meetings are held to gather the Work Area leaders, or an entire Work Area.

Project Steering Board Meeting at KWR premises

The second annual Project Steering Board meeting of the FP7 project DEMEAU took place on May 19th and 20th at the premises of KWR Watercycle Research Institute in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands. Project coordinator Theo van den Hoven welcomed the DEMEAU project members with a brief introduction of KWR, its services and activities and the scope and objectives of DEMEAU. Subsequently, the Work Area (WA) leaders had the opportunity to give a summarising overview of their work progress.

Final Consortium Meeting With Demonstrating Large-Scale Ozonation

DEMEAU held the first in its three part series of final events in Zurich, Switzerland on June 17-18, 2015. Hosted on the premises of Eawag just outside of Zurich in Dübendorf, attendees engaged in collaborative knowledge exchange and discussions on the final research results, conclusions and contributions of the project. The two day event brought together the expertise of the whole project consortium, where the work areas presented the final results of their work within the project.

Several DEMEAU partners attended the Micropol & Ecohazard Conference and took part in panels and poster presentations. In connection with the conference, project representatives met on June 19 and 20 to discuss the project’s progress. Visits at partner utilities in Zurich gave a first impression of the implementation of the new technologies.

First technical meeting on Managed Aquifer Recharge

On 5-6 May 2013, DEMEAU project partners and experts in Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) met in Barcelona to discuss their latest work: a European Catalogue of MAR sites with over 200 identified MAR sites and their characteristics. The meeting helped the further definition case studies and participants took advantage of the synergies between the multidisciplinary team.

Joint Kick-Off Meeting for Research Projects on Resource Efficiency

Resource efficiency is high on the political agenda. The current development model is unsustainable not only from an environmental point of view, but also from an economic, employment and social perspective. A greener economy creates growth and jobs in Europe and around the world.

A joint kick-off meeting of the successful applicants to the FP7-ENV-2012-two-stage call on resource efficiency was held on the 16-17 of October at the premises of DG Research & Innovation.

Kick-Off Meeting - Promising Technologies to Face Emerging Pollutants

The EU funded project DEMEAU kicked off on 8 and 9 November at Dunea, the water utility of The Hague and its surrounding area. The event marks the beginning of a three-year demonstration of promising technologies that tackle emerging pollutants in water and waste water.
